Source: LJ
Type: slash, au, non-epilogue compliant, PWP
Characters and/or Pairing: Gretchen/Sara
Category: Slash, smut, pwp (although plot and character-rich)

Why you need to read this: The author does a stellar job of blending perfect characterization with erotic slash. If you are interested in the characters of Gretchen and/or Sara, it's a great read - but be warned, it's extremely adult in it's appeal and Sara is married. Fabbo (and different) writing, Ms clair_de_lune

Title: Him and Her
Author: rosie_spleen
Source: Her journal
Type: One Shot
Characters and/or Pairing: Sara and Michael
Category: Romance and drama and het?
Rating: PG-15
Length: 1200 words
Spoilers: Nope
Warnings: Some sexy times
Why you need to read this: Because it's romantic. This fic has been inspired by the song Honey and the Moon by Joseph Arthur and the clip that xshorty24x made for it here. It's not songfic as such but it creatively weaves the moon and honey into the romance of Michael and Sara and left me feeling gooshy.

Title: The Land of the Living

Why you need to read this: This fic explores what Sara went through when she was held by the Company, her torture and escape right up until she reunited with Michael. It's very gritty and angsty and a joy to read. You feel like like you are right there with her every step of the way and feeling her will to survive with her thoughts of Michael.

Title: Four Years and a Slow Dance
Author: burntcircles
Source: LJ
Type: one shot
Characters and/or Pairing: LJ & Sara
Category: general
Rating: pg-15
Length: 1500 words
Spoilers: season 3 - vague, then au
Warnings: none. Tends to swell the emotions
Why you need to read this: This short fic is told from LJ's point of view. It is a wonderful read, and gives creative insight into what tiny ounces of hope Sara may have provided the teenager during moments of captivity. Finally, it gives the reader closure, and a glimpse of the happily ever after fiction can always provide, but the story is never sugar-coated.

Title: Password To Redemption
Author: badboy_fangirl
Source: LJ
Type: One Shot, pbfic_exchange2
Characters and/or Pairing: Sara & Michael, Kellerman
Category: gen, implied het
Rating: pg
Length: around 2000
Spoilers: Season 2:16 onward
Warnings: None
Why you need to read this: This fic deals with favourite characters in a clever and very insightful way. It expands canon and adheres rigidly to excellent characterization. Kellerman is seen to envy the closeness of the relationship between Sara and Michael, and I think badboy_fangirl writes the interaction between the three as it may have been following Chicago and Paul being separated from them. Rather than romance, a different - almost family-type bond - develops between Sara and Paul. This leads perfectly into the canonic interaction later with Christine and Kellerman. A wonderful, plot-filling story.

Title: Casting Stones
Author: wrldpossibility
Source: LJ
Type: One shot, pbfic_exchange2
Characters and/or Pairing: Michael, Lincoln, mentions of Aldo, Christina
Category: gen, post season
Rating: pg-13
Length: approx 2000
Spoilers: n/a
Warnings: n/a
Why you need to read this: At the time of posting, I had no words to describe this exchange piece. It commences with a memory and works upon a scene of brotherly discourse, some accusations and the hope of moving towards a form of absolution. wrldpossibility uses the simple act of watching old video as a springboard to discuss the complex, ever evolving relationship between Linc and Michael. I find it quite melancholy. Beautiful and in character. It's AU-canon (with definite and accurate characterization) at its best.

Title: Dangling
Author: chapter_stork
Source: LJ
Type: One-Short, 3 x drabbles
Characters and/or Pairing: Caroline Reynolds, Kristine Kellerman, Quinn, mentions of Paul, Sara
Category: gen,
Rating: pg-13
Length: 3x100 words
Spoilers: Up to around 2:20
Warnings: none
Why you need to read this: One of the main reasons this comm was established was to recommend fic from new contributers to fandom. These three short pieces say so much with so few words, and we can really learn from the minimalist use of language here. The drabbles extend three scenes without melodrama, but with maximum impact. chapter_stork has managed to incorporate simple dialogue which leaves the reader in no doubt about what is to happen with each character - I would particularly like to rec Drabble 2.
